oil leak from pipe under manifold?

Hi All, last night when i started my truck it was 23* and oil came out of that pipe under the drivers side manifold. what is this and how do i fix it??

if its about a 3" round pipe...that would be your oil cooler..there is 4 big orings in there..the rebuild kit is about 40 bucks if i remember right..you also need a way to press them back together...i used a 1/2 drill press..Kris (strokin_it7.3) used a wood splitter....

Actually, that part is called the "Coolant/Oil Heat Exchanger". If it has developed a leak, you might look to the "O" rings that sit at both ends of the exchanger.

ok thanks guys, it spit some oil when it was cold but then quit.

call or PM him..he should have kits to do the whole thing.. you need 2 of each oring and a gasket for each end of the cooler... Th!nk Parts Guy

Here is the kit that i used
Your Premiere Source for Ford Truck Parts and Accessories
Just make sure you drain all the coolant and the oil before you take it off... including the block drains...I did NOT do this - dont ask me about the coolant/oil shower i had in 35* temps!!!!

Also, I just used a long clamp to get all the parts pressed back together.
It is pretty simple to do-very straight forward.
