I have a 95 F250 with an E4OD tranny and rear wheel ABS that I recently purchased. The ABS light is on constantly and when driving, the OD light on the shifter constantly blinks. When driving, the tranny shifts hard and the speedometer does not work.
Based on searching the forums here, I deduced that it must be the VSS in the rear diff housing. I replaced the sensor last night and when I climbed back in the truck and turned the key, the ABS light stayed on.
Is there a way to clear all the codes for the E4OD and the ABS system so that I can confirm whether or not I have solved the problem?
The RABS does not store codes after the ign. is switched off so if the ABS light is on again then that problem has not been solved. As for the transmission I would think if you disconnect the battery for about 20min you should clear those codes.
