03 Expy Tailgate Stuck Closed
Folks, does anyone have any ideas on how to get my tailgate open or remove the inner tailgate panels (with the gate closed)? I went to get some stuff out of the back of the truck and I can't open the tailgate. When using the power locks, I can hear the actuator in the tailgate moving, but the exterior handle just pulls without any resistance and it just doesn't unlatch.

Will the window open? If it does then you will have to pry the panel off from the window opening and possibly damage it to gain access. That is a sad reality and something even a tech has to do. That is why it is important that when something starts hanging up to get it in to be serviced before that fatefull failure if possible.

The glass still opens. Unfortunately, there wasn't any warning or signs of trouble. It just stopped working.
No sweet spot in the interior panel that a hole could be drilled to trigger the latch release??
