rtypeman,
i ran a piece of plastic sheeting in front of the radiator on mine for faster winter warmups when i used it for commuting years ago.
really works well on the Aero, cuts the warm up time in half and no overheating problems in winter time. blocked about 3/4 of radiator core.
Hi Cliff,
I don't know what you are talking about. We are in our 70's here, and quite possibly in the 80's in the next few days. I think that you and Pablo are just exaggerating these winter tall stories.
i hear it gets really HOT there in S. Cali during the fire season?
do they make asbestos Aeros to go with the brick and steel houses?
when i was down in Sept. to 29Palms, all the swimming pools were full of rattlesnakes.
we're selling Columbia River water for $150 a barrel. i'll give away the wet mushy carpet in the back of my Aero for free.

Gets pretty cold here, as long as you let the old girl warm up while scraping the 2" thick ice its not that bad in the van. Tyres can be "D" shaped ! Those heated seats would be a good thing though.
A free pizza from Pizza 222? (That's a local joint with the number 222-2222. )
My Aero's currently at 315,000kms and still goin' strong...only just rebuilt the original tranny at 290k..my Nissan with it's 2nd engine, 3rd transmission is doing fine at 390k...I tend to keep cars for a loooong time!
And as for weather, the old girl (van not wife!) gets to sit this winter out. The plates are off and Stabil is in the fuel line. Just hovering above the freezing point here.
I just hope we consumers remember this past summer when oil went past $140/bbl and gasoline went past $4/gal. It can still happen. The only reason that stuff is so cheap now is because of lack of demand, due to most of the world experiencing a historical financial crisis, caused at least partly by historically high energy prices, caused by...
I hope that we can or have figure out how to live with less of the stuff, so that when we do pull out of our financial funk, we don't immediately go back to dependence on oil.
really everething depends on China now. If they will get more then 15% recession even if crisis in Europe and USA will over lack of demand will stay for some years but this time out may be used for alternative transportation development in China, like electrically powered railways (ex. USSR has 80% of electrically powered railroads) and demand will not raise like 2-3 years ago.
