trans shifting prob

i have a 95 bronco e4od... i got a code from it... a speed sensor falt.. i got a new one n it still does it but only sometimes.. (shifts hard 1st-4th, shifts from 1st to 4th at low speeds ect...)im ganna test the wires this weekend and if needed can i replace them myself? and what gadge would i need?

Is it still setting the code?

If not, try to clear the code be disconnecting the battery for about 5 minutes.

If you have cleared the code and it came back, check the wires for the speed sensor. The computer is not receiving the signal from the sensor.
