Chaging a few things.

Ive got a 89 Supercab 150 that Im putting together slowly. Sometimes I figure to slowly but I do what I can. The first cosmetic change is to the Supercab windows. I cant believe that its just a piece of pot metal that makes this window into a two piece.
So that aside I know that the grilles are interchangable with a 95 model. Ive seen this on other trucks. But how about doors can I put a 95 door on a 89 body? Or how bout the dash. I was at the wreckers last week looking pokin around and came upon a fairly decent dash. Could I swap my old one out?? I mesured and it looks like the same mesurement??

doors are the same but the inner door panels are different. A grill change requires a new front clip...I just did mine. It includes the rad support, header assay, fenders, hood, cowl, bumper w/custom mount and hood springs... and youl have two extra lights to add to your front park light circuit.
the dash should mount up but that would be a PITA IMHO the gauges in the newer dash will not work with your engine and your gauges don't fit with out some serious modding.. sounds like a cool project... wish mine was a s/c

I forgot... there is a small diference in the doors, the newer doors have a lip or body crease at the botom but it's real small and you'll probably not notice it

I knew it was the fenders but didnt realize it was the whole front end tho. I may end up doing it anyways. Ill have ta see what all those parts would cost me in the wreckers or maybe get a parts truck.

Thanks for clearing that up there Irish.
Well there goodBoy Ive finally got myself a newer front end. It apparently came off a 93 Ford. However when I saw it it was on a 80's Bronco. Found the add in craigslist. So now Ive got about 95% of my body parts together. So I guess I work on my interior now. Earlier you said that it would probably be a PITA to change my dashboard for a newer one. Well Ive now decided to keep the old dash looking at the newer dashes the speedo and other things look alot smaller. I like the bigger speedo and tach personally.
Heres a question for you though my idea was to get the rolling chasis sandblasted. I was told not to sandblast but rather to get a good degreser and degrease the frame and after that take a wire wheel to it and clean it up. Do you agree or do you think that I should take the rolling chasis in and sandblast? Another idea thaty I have is to take the stock IFS out and put a Dana 50 in its place. What do you think of that idea?
I value your opinion and await for your response.
Thanks
