Before I start another project, I better ask the experts.
How hard or easy is it to replace the rear axle seal? I just did the outter two axle bearings and seals, now the center is leaking. Is this a simple half hour job or a whole day out in the cold job?
depends if u have a impact and a 2 jaw puller it isnt bad
Agreed the only hard part is getting the yoke off. You may also want to replace it while your there. Take a good look at it they do wear out on the seal surface.
Ok thanks. Then I may tackle it myself. I replaced the pinion seal on my 65 mustang and it only took me around 15 minutes. While I'm there I'll look at the breather and the wear and tear.
If the yoke is worn, Do I have to buy that from Ford? Or just any Auto store?
