Lift

Hopefully after i fix the cancer i'm gonna get a lift later this year or early next. i dont wanna hurt fuel mileage though. i'm thinking a 6 inch lift with 285's. do yall think it would look right?

There's no way you're gonna lift it 6" and not hurt the fuel mileage. With 6" and 285's you're gonna have an awful lot of empty space in the wheel wells, it only takes 4" to fit 35's and 33's will fit with no lift

i am runing 285/75r16 with add a leaf only with no problems would look much better tho if i had 4 inch lift

ok. how bad you think mileage will go. i wanna try to keep at least 16 round town. im gettin bout 17.5 to 18 now if i granny it

285s are way to small for 6 inches. I have 285s on my truck stock. 35 or 36 would probaly look good with 6 inches

dads got 295s with a 4in. and it looks good but is pushing it. Another thing to think anout is if you rgoing to pull a gooseneck trailer 6" will prob get you too high to keep trailer level and not rub your bed on barn bridges and such

just remember what mine looks like, i got 6 inches and 35's. that gives the truck the well proportioned look. i wouldnt recomend that much lift with your gooseneck like wes said. its not practical. my economy went up with the larger tires but thats due to driving habits since i have 4.10's.

true. well here's the thing i have disgussed this with dad and he said if thats what i wanna do then he will tow the tractor etc. i dont plan on a goose neck for the fact that i dont tow much. its mostly hauling in the bed such as wood, metal and such. so if i put 35's on with the 6 inch i may get better economy? i want to go this route because i love the way your truck sits Joe. and its been a dream for a long time
