FYI Cheap batteries.

Did yall know that you can get brand new interstate batteries for $35.
Im just askin because I didnt know until recently. They are blems, again I didnt know you could get blem batteries only blem tires. I needed a set for the wood gitter and some friends told me that they had been told this so I called up the local dealer and ask them.... Well while the guy was installing them I ask him what makes them blems and he said maybe a scratch or bad mold or something. I told him I didnt see a scratch or a dent anywhere and he said well sometimes they have to call the factory and reorder blems to put in stock and if they dont have any scratch and dents then they send what they got. Oh yeah they even bought my cores for $5 each.
Yall may already know about this but o well, just thought I would post this in case somebody had new batteries on there Christmas list.

Yeah your right starmilt, I guess it would be a warehouse. It just blew my mind cause I had just priced the batteries I bought a couple of days before for $116+/- each on interstates web sight.

I just bought a bunch at the warehouse here in Montgomery, they were $40, they gave me $8 for a core for the ones I bought, and said they would give me $2 for as many batteries as I could bring.

I used to buy them all the time like that for my big trucks you only get 90 days warranty.
I dont remember having any trouble with them though.

It seems that I read (on hear?) that you can get the OPTIMAS in a blem also, but when I called them they said no...

You must be right because my Dad sells only Interstates at his machine/electrical shop and I don't think he can get seconds/blems.
He buys direct and the truck brings them by.

I'm gonna check to make sure though.

I used to run Interstate blems, then the warehouse moved to far away to be cost effective.

I only run 1000 CCA batteries at a minimum, but I have a lot of electrical demand with the snow plow and dump bed.

Diesels should have 850 CCA minimum in the cold climates.

I just bought a couple at my local warehouse too, but they are either 900 or 950 CCAs and I paid $44 each + tax and a $12 core charge - right at $122 for the pair (I didn't have my cores to give them).

Still beats the heck out of paying nearly $120 apiece...
