Morning Pat,
I know what you mean, from what i heard is that all that ice/sleet mix will be a bit farther south, but i have also heard this morning that we could see any where from 1-2 in on one station to 2-4 on another, you know how that goes, so well probably see about a half in or so.
I have a question for you, how do you like your 6.0? ive also been looking at 4door trucks and from what i have found i can find them for around 11k, it would fit my needs for a truck as well as room for 5 of us. Thought about the Dodges, which i really wouldnt mind, however there isnt enough leg room in the back and i dont want to jump up to 17k or so for a quad cab. so for now im looking at the 7.3 and the 6.0 PSD, I like the 7.3, but other that what dad has had with his PSD (I Never Drove it) i would like your opinion.
I've had no problems with my 6.0. It has ran perfectly, get's good mileage, and has all the power I'll ever need. I do like the 7.3 (my mom had one in her 96) but my 6.0 blows it away in power and mileage. I would defintively get an OASIS report on it (you can do that in the 6.0 forum) just to be sure it's not one of the problem children. These motors either ran great, or were problematic from 03-04. The 05's and later seemed to have most of the issues resolved. Plus, the crew cab SD's have a TON of room, compared to the 1/2 tons, and that's good for long trips.

Thanks,
Like i said, we need the room and i think that the psd's are better off in the long run just because they can create tons more power and i would like to be able to to something, and if we get the suburban, have to worry more about weight than with a psd
Morning guys... We are supposed to get 4 - 6 inches of crap tonight. It was almost spring-like this morning, the first day all week it's been above zero!
Congrats on the job Jerry! Is this the same place that delayed your start date, or a different place?
Jake - sorry to hear about the CDL test... don't make sense that you fail because of an issue with the truck. But, that's government for ya!
Only draw back to the diesel is the fuel price, of course, and they are a little more expensive when it comes to maintenance. Especially with any turbo diesel, I would strongly recommend some kind of warranty, just to cover your A$$!

Yea, ill definitely get some kind of extended warranty or something, as far as the mileage, the one thing i love about diesels is that the more power (money) you throw at it also means that it burns more efficient, as well as powerful
No not yet, im sure that its got a ton more power than the 7.3, like i said, im tempted to go look at that one, maybe drive it. They want to sell cars so bad that theyll probally do whatever it takes, even if its doing something off the wall. Just found a 99 dually for 7500 over in Ia
