I hear a creeking sound when I go over humps, speed bumps, and deep turns. A guy who does a little car repair work on the side told us that it could be the bushings. We have a 96 Explorer XLT. He also said that replacing them won't solve the problem because Ford has a problem with the bushings and they don't fit properly(about 1/8" to small). I've heard from another person that the after market kits don't exactly fit either. Can any one offer any help?
1. If Ford has a problem with the parts, what's the point in wasting money?
2. What are the ramifications if I don't replace them?
3. About how much does it cost to fix and is there anywhere to get parts that are the correct size?
