I would talk to the shop that did the work for you something is not right if all is new and you are seeing smoke when you crank it then you still have a problem with your glow plug system or you are not waiting long enough I would bring it back to them or call the guy up and say Hey man I just spent a grand for you to fix my truck and now it won,t start what the heck did you do!

yep Im gonna call them tommrow, It did the same thing today, I waited like 45 seconds after the wts light went off and it took 6 tries doing the same thing before it started. I just am fed up with this truck, it looked like a good deal at the time 3500 last year, but all sorts of things are just going wrong with it now. It has a good fuel leak and leaks oil when its cold out. Go figure. if I have to put more the 400 in to it again im selling it.
Don,t give up it is probably something simple for instance a bad gpr they could have gotten a dud rite out of the box and not known,or like rubber duck mentioned a burnt wire on the main harness but back further I have had that happen ,or maybe a dud glow plug or two.
Just for poops and giggles when you start it in the morning lift the hood , take a big screw driver and cross the two big terminals on the gpr hold it there for 60 seconds or so then try to start your truck if it works then it could be the gpr.
fuel leak is most likely the fuel pump, oil leak when cold out is 90% of the time the exhaust backpressure valve. 2 hours to replace all of those components is hauling ****. did they give you your old parts back? something is fishy here. what state are you in?

Michigan, no they didnt give any parts back, yes the leak is the fuel pump at the banjo bolt and the oil leak is in the front of the pan like the front seal or something Im going to take the truck back to them tomorrow. Now when I crank it over I dont get any white smoke at all, Maby IDM went kinda unlikely but who knows!
