Fuel Filter Change - Higher EGTs

Fuel Filter Change - Higher EGTs
On Friday I changed my fuel filter; it was due at a hair less than 10k miles; I was also anxious to see what the biodiesel (5% to 2%) was doing to the fuel system. I had been running bio for about 7k miles.
Well, it was pretty dirty but the bowl was nice and clean. The next day my wife and I went for our regular weekend ride with the horses. I use the 60T on the DP; the trailer with the horses is about 6k lbs.
On the slight grade towards the place where we usually ride, I had been watching my EGTs ever since I put in my DiPricols. Prior to the fuel filter change the max my EGTs were running was 1000 degrees.
After the change, same DP setting, same grade, same throttle, same fuel, same everything: the EGTs climbed to 1200 degrees.
Wondering what the connection here is, if any? Is there more fuel coming in to the engine or maybe better put, more fuel pressure as a result of the new filter? It was pretty clogged!
Appreciate any input. It's not a problem but just an interesting observation. Thanks

Izzy, I followed your advice; did the same run today but turned off the overdrive. The EGTs were anywhere from 200 to 300 degrees less and never went over 1000 degrees. I even went up further up the hill (more of a grade and about 2 miles long) and still the EGTs did not top 1000.
With the overdrive on I was running 2k rpms and with it off I was hitting 2.5 ks. Truck runs awesome in 60T with 6k behind it; plenty of throttle left.
Thanks for the quick advice!

I pulled my Dad's 6.5k boat and it was like it wasn't even there. LOL
