I put my recently acquired 1966 F-100 2 wheel drive pick-up on my lift for the first time last night. While checking out the front suspension,I noticed ,what I call the spring mounts, are rotted thin and pulling away from the frame. These are the part where the top of the coil spring sets in.Although it looks like a PITA to change them, they are riveted and bolted to the frame. So my question is........does anyone on this forum have a pair of these that they're willing to sell? Anyone know where I can buy two of them that are in good useable shape?Maybe someone here that installed a different frame section and has the original section laying in the weeds? I'll bet when these trucks were new, these parts were available from Ford dealers. My truck spent it's whole life in the great northeast road salt zone and it did these parts in.Thanks for any help. The rest of the truck is worthy of restoring and it would be a shame to make it into a parts truck.
I just wacked off the front end of a frame to make a trailer out of my 66 long bed parts truck, I think i have what you need, Being your new here and need 25 posts for PM or EM privilege's, just send it to wwilsonpaints@comcast.net if you want them,
