Adjusting Headlights?

I just got my 05' lights in today, but need to adjust them. Does anyone have any idea how to do it? I have one that is close, and the other is searching the ditch line going down the rode..... Any ideas????

Scott, the '05 headlights only have left/right adjustment. It's the Torx post sticking up on the top of the light. You'll need an external Torx bit to adjust it, an E5 I believe. Can't remember which way you need to turn the adjuster, but I'm sure you'll figure it out as you start turning. If you need and up/down adjustment, you'll have to move the whole light just a little bit.

Hopefully when everything is clipped up right it will be set. I am suprised though there isn't many adjustments on the 05 lights.

That sorta sucks! Unless there are multiple angles you can bolt it up at? Maybe I would need to see it to understand it....my truck is pretty high, I know it'd never be lined up with a straight bolt in. This mod is in my future, because my ebay projector lights are awful

Travis, when you do the upgrade, if you use the existing header panel and just cut it out for the new lights, to secure the top of the light to the header panel, you just run a screw through the top tabs and into the header panel. There is a little room for adjustment there, for where you drill the hole and put the screw in. If your truck is high, I would find a way to ensure proper up/down alignment before you secure them in place.

Well it ought to be interesting to say the least......I've already cut that panel to accomodate my projector lights, since they are side by side, with an additional fog light built in. In "theory" they are great....in "reality" they suck major ***

In other words, the up/down adjustment will have to be shimmed ? Also, how and what do you secure them too? I just have the top zip tied for now, or until I get clips to fasten them in....

I guess you could shim them somehow. To fasten the tops, I just ran a small screw right through the plastic tabs on the headlights and into the header panel. What I was thinking for adjustment was how far forward or back you placed the top tab. I just pushed mine in all the way, put a screw in the tabs and they seemed to lineup okay. I did have to adjust the left/right though.

My tabs lined up perfect, that's why I just zip tied them in until I get clips to put screws in... I guess I will play around with them at work Monday. That way I have a flat surface and a wall to adjust them against...
