I have ran Bridgestone Dueller AT Revo's on my last 1/2 ton...love the looks and the drive. As my SD inched closer to 40K with Continental 275 70R18's that I don't really like, I checked by tire guy looking for a suitable replacement. The Continentals are about 32" diameter, but I think the truck can handle up to 35". Unfortunately, the Dueller don't come in any larger size than 275 70R for 18" rims. For those of you that know what the Duellers look like, can you suggest a similar looking tire that would give 34-35"?
I am in the process of replacing my stock cont's with Goodyear Silent Armor Progrades, sticking with the stock size, to be able to stay under my 5th wheel with out an troubles. Not sure what the duelers look like but have heard nothing but good...ok or bad, about the GY's so giving them a shot. Make sure you get load range "E" rated tires, the SD takes a different tire then the 1/2 ton Good luck.
A good friend of mine has a lifted SD with 315s under it. He is trying out the Cooper discovery ATR's this time around. He plows with it so it will be interesting on how well it does
I have tried the Revo's and BF goodrich all terrain TK's. Neither of them have worked as well as the goodyear AtS that came with the truck new. I have the stock 20's on my SD. The revos only lasted 20,000 miles and cupped really bad. The rubber is too soft for the weight of a diesel. The BF goodrich tires worked well at first but they were hard to keep balanced as they wore. Small cunks of tread would fall off of the edges. Too many sipes is my personal opinion. The goodyears went 65,000 miles mostly highway and atleast 1/4 of that towing. My next set will be the silent armour goodyears
