anti-turbo hose blow off kit
CAC Tube Brace - TCN Enterprises
found this online looks like it would work for high boost situations
i recommend do the ccv reroute, update the turbo boot to the new style with the red material inside, buy 2 new clamps and clean turbo outlet and hot side pipe with acetone really well then button it up nice and tight, should hold boost pressure to at least 30psi.

Looks like a good idea. When you take into consideration the hourly cost of making the bracket (you guys do get payed for your time, don't you?), I think it's worth it.
There are people who can't work with metal for whatever reason. My dad was one of them. I can't work with wood. I can work with metal all day long, and make just about anything I want. My dad can do the same with wood. For someone like my dad, or because I don't usually have the time to make things like the brace (single parent of two girls, one who has cerebral palsy and is a quadriplegic), I'd buy it.

I recently had some issues with the boot blowing off of the turbo. I cleaned it all up with brake cleaner and put it back together with plans to do a ccv re-route and buy a new boot. My local ford dealer wants over $80 for the boot! I was blown away. It's only like 4 inches long of silicone rubber. What a rip off. I plan to check the FTE Parts guy or Direct Ford Parts to see if they have a better deal and give them some of my business.

After I did my head studs, and putting my truck together, I was surprised that nothing holds the pipe at place beside the boots. I'm a boat builder, so instead of metal, I used a piece of carbon-fiber to secure the pipe. It took me like 20-30 minutes to do, so I think a price $50 is ridiculous. Here are some pics:

Thanks!
Honestly, it's not the first - one, I meant there were a couple of prototypes. First was just some zip-ties, 10 minutes and they were gone. Than I used some long clamps, but it did look really "gypsy" - sorry - , and my buddy was scratching his head when he seen it, so I decided to make something more permanent looking bracket.

Ford 6L Turbo Hose Blows off
I have 2004 Ford F250 6L Turbo that blows the blue hose off. I have read several postings on the subject. The one that really ticks me off is Ford Motor companies response to this problem. I have read that they claim this is a safety feature that prevents damage to other parts, maybe so. But it sure is not a safety feature for the occupants of the vehicle or any live load being hauled. The clamp idea for the pipe helps to keep from losing complete power but does not solve the problem completly. At this point I am going for the clamp plus cleaning (Brake & Parts cleaner) and glueing (Permatex Blue Gasket Masker) the parts together as mentioned in previous postings. I can not believe that Ford Motor Company can not come up with a fix. Thinking as an engineer why can they not come up with a clamp for the pipe and/or a pressure relife valve system?

The carbon fiber brace looks like a better idea because the metal brace would make the lower boot at the intercooler see more stress from engine movement, making it prone to ripping. The carbon fiber brace would have some "give" to it. That's why the boots are made of flexible material in the first place because there is movement in the pipe.
