new tire help, please.

Hey Everyone,

Got a question. I'm looking at getting rid of those small 14" tires on my '96 Ranger, 2wd, but need some help. I wanna put either some 235/70R15 or 265/70R15 on my truck. Also, I would like to put on BF Goodrich Mud tires or All Terrains but not too sure. The tire place here also recommended Toyo M606. I don't do too much off roading but would like to do a little more than I do. So a lot of the driving miles will be on the highway and stuff. Which size and tire would be best? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Well...haven't gone through with it yet cause still no one has said if the new tires will fit under my truck at stock height or not. Funny thing is that even Ford doesn't know if they'll fit at stock height. So hopefully will hear something soon. Really wanna get the new tires.

Well went and talked with a new person at Ford and they said that 235/75R15 BFGs should fit but they weren't 100% sure. When I went and talked to a few different people at Les Schaub, pretty much got the same story. But they did mention that if I'm looking at putting a lift kit on my truck then should probably do that first even if I want the tires first then they know for sure the 235/75R15 would fit. Could even go bigger then if I wanted too. Anyways, I just thought I'd let you know what more I found out. Probably wait until I do my lift at this point. Goodluck with your truck.
