I just joined the Pirate 4x4 forum to see what i could learn, and WOW there a lot of d**ks out there. Makes me appreiate you guys alot more and how you all have more patients with newbies and sometimes dumb questions.
I go on there quite a bit......I think I have maybe 50 posts in 4 yrs for the reasons stated.....but like here there is a wealth of info on that site and some amazing builds.I mainly just lurk and read there.......oh yeah, bought my PSD off that site too
I like the site, but honestly this one's far better.
Yes, they can be serious a**holes. but they also know everything about any car that came with four wheel drive.
to avoid flaming over there, do a *****load of searching before posting a question.
Also- a fun read is the " biggest loads" thread in the towing truck forum.
one guy had two jeeps on a trailer, and the back one would've been hanging off...
If it wasnt held up by the jack stands. lol
yes they are ruthless over there, but to be honest they are toned way the heck down! when i first joined several years ago it was MUCH smaller and they were 10x more ruthless. they are quite tame. if you can wade through the BS they really are a very knowledgeable group. i've learned more over there about trucks in general than anywhere else!
if you want good info you have to grow a thick skin and ignore the bickering and cussing
What is up with that one in front of you on the trail? It looks like a jeep with a serious frame extension.
I noticed that too Neal. It looks like that Heep is towing a nice off road trailer. But if it was you'd think the trailer bed would be more in line with the axle.
