I've always liked the 4 link suspension system I've seen on a number of trucks. Maybe just because it looks sexy, but I'll tell ya... that beasty you're building ought to bring a lotta looks.
Definitely a wow on departure angle. And that bumper... holy poop batman. I had bumpers made for my early Bronco and they were so danged heavy that my accelleration suffered dramatically... but I had great traction weight, for sure. If I'd ever got in a head on or rear ended, the Bronco would have been crunched between to really nice looking bumpers. I've got pics stashed somewhere, but I've looked forever, trying to find them... to no avail.
Hey thanks, I really appreciate it. I'll admit that there are those days that I wonder why I'm taking so much time on this, and REALLY MISS driving the damn thing since it's been down for over a year and counting, but when I get to stages like this I see that it's all worth it. I want to enter it into a couple shows when I'm done with it, but I PROMISE ya'll that it'll still be wheeled and drove. I couldn't see putting this much time and money into it and not drive it!
I'll paint it after I get the fuel cell built. I want to get all the back half done first. That way I don't get it scratched up, concidering I've got bad luck with fresh paint
Yeah, i've been thinking about painting my truck again.
I've got some satin white crap on it. $25 a gallon at Ace Hardware. Banged up paint pretty bad. I replaced my passanger door cause I hit a tree going down a hill sideways, and now my door is blue.
Paint it or not? It'll prob get scratched first time I wheel. But it'll look good till then.
I'm hoping the rear end just looks that way in the pic, don't think it's bent... Not sure on the wheel base, I'll have to measure it. should roughly be the same as an extended cab long bed plus about 4 inches. And what's hanging down is the wiring harness to the rear of the pickup. Didn't want to melt it in the MASS amount of welding that had to be done
oh and the shocks are old. I just used them to set the tabs. so I'm thinking of running bilstein 7100 reservor shocks on my pickup. anyone have some feedback on them? I've always heard good stories from people running bilsteins
The only thing I do with my rig is wheel it, it has 44s. N I run rancho(sp?) Shocks. They have worked good for me, n I tend to go alittle overbored sometimes.

was going to but there isn't enough room for it when it starts to flex. I'm going with a set of ballistic fab coil buckets top and bottom and the bottom even include the lower link tabs. It will use a set of yj style springs
I looked on their website and didn't see a kit like what you have. Do I need to look harder or did you piece it together from their catalog? How much $$? What about the front?
