Spark Plug Question
I presently have NGK TR55GP Platinum spark plugs I bought for a 2000, 5.4 (from our E350 van) but didn't install them. Sold the van, just bought a '05 F250 with a 5.4. Can I use these plugs in the '05 Ford truck?

if it were me i wouldn't put on the other hand i wouldn't have bought them to begin with (not trying to be a smart a$$) its just all i hear is that ford motors mods especially only like autolite or motorcraft plugs with motorcraft being preferred but it is your ride i hope this helps

No, the cylinder head design of the 5.4-3V is entirely different. The plugs that will work are:
Motorcraft SP462 (PZT1F)
Autolite HT1
Champion 7989
Do some searching in the 2004-2008 forum for spark plug change on the 5.4-3V engine.

For those who are under the impression the Champion 7989 plug is one piece. They are not. Look carefully at the photo below. You can see a bluish colored line in a recessed groove to the right of the threads. That my friends is a laser weld. If this plug was one peice it wouldn't need that.
