Oh you'll get that easy, my 5.8 made that much with ported E6 heads and the GT40's will outrun those no problem. Port the lower intake to match the intake ports on the heads as well, the better everything lines up the more TQ you get.

Alright will do. I just took a look at the stock opening and its pretty small. I'll port my heads to Felpro 1250 and port my intake just a little smaller than that to take up any intake shift.

Actually porting to the gasket dimensions is counter productive, what you want are port dimensions that open up in a uniform matter all the way from the valve out. So you don't want the port to be really big at the gasket surface and then smaller on either side. Start with whatever port is smaller and open it up to match the other. I did this with my 5.0 and it came out very nice. With the heads installed on the block I put studs in the front and back holes, laid gaskets in place and then laid the lower intake over the studs. With a small snake light inserted in the injector hole it's possible to see down each intake runner and take note of how much the ports were misaligned with the heads. I'd then remove some material and recheck the ports for alignment. You have to remember the intake isn't torqued down when doing this so there will still be some vertical misalignment you have to account for, so in other words don't take enough material off the floor to get perfect alignment or it will be too low when the intake is installed.

Your right of course. Your not going to let me take the easy way out

In this case then the GT40 head port size is way bigger than the intake. The intake size is closer to the E7TE size but its still probably smaller than that. 'll port the intake a little on the conservative side and then just take a look like you suggested.
