As long as the pipes aren't worn, you can get away with just the donuts. The ones I did recently, had pretty bad groove in one of the pipes. I put one of my old pipes on there that was still in good shape. So far, so good. Once tightened down with oem donuts, there is no more crush left if it feels loose with old pipes. The flanges will bottom out against each other.

Brandon --> That was going to be my next question. Besides the 24" ext, are they're any other tools that might come in handy? I'd hate to have to run to Sears on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Umm, that was me as well (the leaking two weeks later thing).

You will need a swivel adapter as well. I wrapped my swivel in electrical tape so it would not just flop around, but you could still "angle it" like you needed to.
If you cant get a 24" extension, 2, 10" extensions will also work.

as far as the dont fix it if it aint broken idea, it is a whole lot easier to do it now while the turbo, pedistal, IC pipes, intake manifold, etc.... are going to be off. Plus, if you have to go back and do it then there is a whole new set of o-rings for the pedistal and turbo that you have to buy again.
