Joe, I got mine through my local dealer, they had them in stock, and I only paid $28 for them. Not tryin to take away a sale from Garrett, but I think I remembered you wer gonna do this friday.
PS. You will need to also get a 24" extension for your ratchet(to reach the up-pipe collector bolts from beneath the truck) found this out the hardway.
Joe, if they are not leaking, leave them alone. Just my advice.
I did the oem style up pipe/donut repalcement a couple of years ago and don't intend to fool with them again when I change my exhaust housing. If it's not broke, don't try to fix it. I had a bolt break off in the Y when I did mine. I have since developed a new procedure for removing and installing them when I recently did my friend's '00 turbo rebuild. Everything went smoothly this time. I used the SBC/SBF 2" donuts from a parts house. They are thicker and the flange doesn't seat all the way down, when tightened, but seal well. There is about a 1/8" gap between the flange face and the Y manifold. I believe I will recheck the bolts after a few heat cycles. I used plenty of antiseize the donuts and bolts.
I'm pretty sure they're not leaking, but if y'all think it's not worth it, then I'll put the ones I ordered on the shelf for when it's time.
OTOH, I remember someone saying they left theirs alone, and a week or two later, developed a leak. That would be my luck...
Brandon --> That was going to be my next question. Besides the 24" ext, are they're any other tools that might come in handy? I'd hate to have to run to Sears on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Same thing happened to me only I had two break. I bought the Napa gaskets that someone had posted the part number on here and they didnt even fit. I ended up buying from the dealer. Next time mine comes off I'll do the bellowed pipes.

Same here. I will "do it up right" with the bellowed up pipes the next go round. As long as everything is still tight I'm not worrried about leaks. I will loosen the pipes at the exh manifolds as to not disturb the Y connections too much when removing and installing the turbo.

I am so glad I went with the bellowed up-pipes when we changed my turbo. It went much easer then I thought it would. I am not looking at the leak I had, wondering how hard it would be to fix with the turbo on.
Don't know if it will help but when my turbo was replaced at about 114k miles I didn't replace donuts and was a little concerned when istaller told me he had loosened the collector flanges for alignment but so far at 130k everything is still good
however if they do start leaking I will at the least replace up pipes wth something if only to go back the way it is
