Reason: spelling
Monster...upon closer inspection....my truck has the gold coolant in it, i guess it was put in by the p.o. at dealership, however my truck is a 2000 model and the chart calls for the green antifreeze. would it be best to flush out the gold and go back to green, or just go back with gold? i think ford changed to gold on the 03 models. the gold wont hurt anything will it?

You aren't suppose to mix the green and the gold Motorcraft anti-freezes according to the label on the bottels. If you're using gold now stick with that unless you are sure you completely flushed it out before moving to the green stuff.
The gold will have a longer service interval but it is more expensive. Other then that you can use it.
Monster...if the truck originally came with green, its been changed out to gold just before i got it (at 97000+_), now at 170.000 then i feel a little better about it. napa has the gold coming in tuesday, i'll pick up some then. thanks for the info.
