Question sway bar bushing install

I just ordered my sway bar bushings from energy suspension. I need to replace the front and rear. So I pretty much figured out the drop links. But the bushings that go on the sway bar itself, are they easy to slip on? I was thinking of wd 40 on the bar or something to slide it on easy. Also I have to replace the rear as well. I read that I dont need to jack up the truck correct? Hopefully this will be a easy job and cure my clunk clunk. I just finished replaceing both front hub assemblys this month, so this will be the last repair (for now) and get me through the winter. Thanks Jeff M.

Hey Jeff. I didn't install new bushings, but I did install new link ends. Just bolt them up, don't have to do any jacking. I would also change the two bushings on the swaybar itself. They were 17.00 each at the dealer. .

Good luck.

The sway bar bushings normally have a slit in them. You just remove the bushing holder and loosen the second holder. Then with the cap off you can remove the rubber bushing with the slit. I normally use silicon lubricant during reinstallation. Normally you don't have to remove the end links.

I have not done this on my truck but have on many other cars.

You must be talking about the end links. I am referring to the sway bar bushings not end links.
