I bought new end links with the bushings already in. Unbolt, remove, replace, bolt in. I do not know of any tensioning needed. Others will chime in soon.

I bought links with bushings in them also but the bushings holding the bar to the chassis have wear also (373k worth) so I am pulling the bar also.
I think its just remove and replace just wanted to check.
Thanks

Last month I installed Energy Suspension Polyurethane link and sway bar bushings. Took about 45 min. Around $30.00 Early 99 kit # is 4.5192R
After a month of driving that annoying clunk noise from the drivers side floor pan area is gone. I installed Ford replacement links in 2008 50,000 miles later replaced with Energy Suspension.

I replaced mine with Moog replacements from Autozone or O'rileys. I like the new design.
