when in 4h..push lever strait down and move to 4L at same time

i guess i dont have the technique when i press it straight down it pops back into 2wd

Pull back into 4Hi, keep pulling back, and push it down, and it will drop back into 4Lo. It is a spring loaded detent that you have to get the lever down into. Once you do it, you'll have it down.

Ya, it can be difficult, but you get used to it.

Not as a rule. They can gum up though. There is a rubber boot that covers it. If it fills with crud it will made it hard to shift.

i get nothing i put it up and it stops in 4 hi thats it i push down it goes back into 2wd

pull back on the lever and at the same time push down on it keep pullin back and there is 4lo

did you get your EBPV disconnected?I went through on 80 about 3 hrs ago.....forgot to check on here

sorry i didnt have a better pic but i hope this helps you. the red wire is for my switch going to the EBPV. just follow how it loops down towards the bottom of the turbo and you should have an idea of where the plug is at. it has two wires going into it. and is plugged into the side of the turbo
