Actually the K/N oil filter is not a waste of money if you are running synthedic oil... you can buy them cheaper than the Molbil 1 synthedic filters and I read a review about hem in Off-Road mag and it ranked right next to the Molbil 1 as far as filtration went.

As far as BFGs go...
The A/T is great on a daily driver/general trails (rocks, dirt and sand) vehicle, but seriously lacks in the mud department. That is why BFG has the M/Ts. Then again, the M/Ts suck in the snow and water on pavement. Get the tire that matchs your driving and that matchs the seasons you drive in. BFGs are WAY overpriced anyway, there are lots of other tires out there that are just as good if not better for alot less. IMHO

To jump into a heated thread with an honest question, has anyone tried Pirelli Scorpion A/Ts? I'm tire shopping, hoping to learn from other people's experience before I go drop $400. And while I'm at it, why do people insist on talking ***** on message boards? Everybody knows that no one is going to actually get together and fight in person, and that everybody is a big badass when they're sitting at a keyboard. At least the guy with the 2wd truck admits it, he obviously isn't trying to convince others that he has ***** the size of grapefruits, eats ten pounds of raw meat a day, and goes to bed with four beautiful women. And yes, my truck is 4wd, I have small *****, like mexican food, and am getting married in three weeks so the four women is definitely out. Don't let low self esteem and false bravado ruin an otherwise very good, and informative site. Just my opinion, maybe I'm missing the point.

>maybe Texas A&M offroad p****s
I know about 150 people that might have something to say to that.

>why dont you quit talking ***** you little #####s,
>come back it up,
Sounds to me like youre the one talkin' *****.

>i dont live but a couple of hours
>from a&m and trust me im not scared to find you
You evidently know where to find me then if you've got a problem.

Keep the useless blather coming, you're so cool!

I've had friends use 'em and love 'em...not something i'd buy but they're all about the Pirelli A/Ts for on and off-road use (mostly on). Not a bad tire i guess.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 08-Jul-02 AT 09:20 PM (EST)]i apologize for my "vulgar" comments which are bad for the ford enthusiasts community as seen in my rating, i could care less about the rating but i did not mean to make anybody mad. i admit i have a short fuse and im sorry. ill even apologize to the aggies, even though they started it but its cool. feel free to give me negative ratings if you want, i dont care. i guess i deserve it :7 if i could take back the negative ratings to the aggies i would, but it wont let me, i guess someone could do it for me and mention my name and say forget rbrendels rating. as for ortho im not sorry im abusive and threaten people, sorry for that one!

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 08-Jul-02 AT 09:36 PM (EST)]bigredford you are right bfg allterrains are not good in mud, i have had excellent results in sand and on rocks though, i am confident i will no drive away with a flat because of the 3 ply sidewall. when i was picking out my tires at discount they had the pirelli scorpions which i was fixing to purchase, but noticed a more aggressive LOOKING tread on the bfgs. if you are going for looks it is a great tire and is great on sand and rocks. like i said i am very impressed with the sidewall. as for the highway ride the bfgs do have a hum which i like but other might not like. my ride is a little bumpier now but they are great in wet conditions and pretty much everything you throw at them (except mud)
