ok so its all buttoned up and i have just a few more questions
1 what should the stock idle be on these trucks in 40f weather?
2 ive read somewhere that people are leaving the valve in the turbo open ( where the downpipe connects) is this a good thing to do? and how do you do it
When it is cold enough to close the EBPV the high idle should also kick in to about 1100 to 1200 rpms.
Some have disconnected the EPBV actuating rod and wired the valve open. Doesn't hurt but then the quicker warm up function is lost. Its really just an emissions thing.
If you want to disconnect the rod see this link for info. LINK
