Chris, I believe that's correct. I'm seeing it the same way.
Brandon, we're on the same page, I told him to look for a fusable link in the lines. There's a technical word for it, but I can't remember what it is. LOL But also, I've seen a few SD's that had one of the IPR wires stripped back. Saw it on that motor I just did.
So if the brake psi switch is on that circuit, just a wag, but could that possibly blow that fuse if say maybe the guy totally jammed on the brakes? Just thinking out loud. So far it won't repeat, but he had other stuff to work on at the time, so he moved on.
Mike, I'm not sure what scanner etc he's using. But I'm sure the correct one whatever it may be. He's a Master ASE working in a VERY well equipped shop. They don't see a ton of diesels, but a few. And since he's my best friend as well as BIL, he knows I'm a Power Stroke junkie and was bouncing ideas off me.
