engine swap ?
A buddy of mine has a 1986 f-150 302 fuel injected that is basically wore out. I had a 1989 351w carb motor out of ford ltd squad I sold him. ? what would it take to make the 351w carb motor work in place of the 302 fuel injected motor. can we bypass some of the wiring, change fuel pump or just P------s in the wind try something different. All question and answera welcomed.

On this truck that swap isn't too much trouble. What you need to do is get the duraspark ignition system to go with the 351, and bypass the frame mounted high pressure fuel pump, the tank/s have low pressure pumps inside. The motor will bolt right in but make sure you have the right flywheel/flexplate for he 351, it's 28oz balance and the 302 is 50oz. Last thing to deal with is the exhaust, the factory Y-pipe will have to be modified as the 351 is wider, not a big deal and if you have duals no problem at all.
