Finally Got My 4x4
Finally Got My 4x4
well after looking at way to many trucks that were scattered all over atlantic canada I found my 4x4.1978 F150.302 4 speed,205 case.long box regular cab.needs a coat of paint and a good tune up and ready for the road.came with a complete 7.5 fisher plow set up that I will be getting ride of.has 4 brand new 31 inch bgf all terrains on sandblasted and painted silver spokes.all new brakes and lines.new shocks exhaust and so on.lots of real nice extra parts.like new set of black door panels.really nice set of fiberglass front fenders.all the xlt badges.a nice rear chrome none step bumper and alot of other small odds and ends that made it well worth what I paid for it.later today I am going to try and make my gallery and put some pictures I have on it.and I am going to use the vin decoder if I can find it again.
Looks like a good project NE79.
yes it seems like it would be hard to get a good load of fire wood in it like that, think I'll flip it over haha.pretty much ready for paint,I'm going to use my 2x4 box for it.but it sat in his garage for 7 years and shes not running the best.I'm going to drain the tank today and fill it full of new gas and give it a tune up see if I can't get it to smooth out a bit.runs rough at anything over idle.hopefully its nothing too serious.

Looks like a good solid truck, my advice is to get a coat of paint on it quick it really isn't good to get the bodywork wet primer is a poreous paint and will let moisture in the root of all rust. Or park it in a garage until you can get to painting it or want to put the paint into the truck.
79F150 its already in the garage with a coat of etching primer on it and a coat of high build over that on the cab and clip.I am using the box of my 2wd on it.I hope to have it all ready for the middle of next week.

Looks like a good one to start a project with
