Truck Dies
I have a 1999 F150 4x4 w/4.6L auto. Once in a while while going down hills coasting the truck will die. It doesnt stumble, there are no codes, and it fires right back up like nothing happened. It idles at 600rpm and I knowtist that when it gear it idles rougher then when in park or neutral.

my 1997 f-150 with a 4.6 in it did something similar a while back. all mine ended up bein was that the throttle body was dirty. all i did was take the air intake tube off and then hold the butterfly open (with engine off) a take a rag soaked in throttle body or carb cleaner and clean out from around the butterfy seat. you might want to try this before you go and take it somewhere to get checked out.
