Greetings friends. I am looking for places to go/things to do on New Years.
We both don't drink or party hardy. We usually do feast and movies at the house but I was thinking of something a little differnt this year. What are some ideas of things to do or/and places to do?
My girls and i do our Christmas on new years. Christmas as in the presents thing. I will never go out on that night...too many crazies.
So we buy our gifts after Christmas and then have a great time on NYE.
No matter what you do have fun at it.

I thought you drove on New Year's Eve... (for work)
Are you somewhere that you can have a bonfire outdoors? A midnight showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show?

This is our thrid year back in the house after Katrina so we are going to have another New Years Party, 3rd annual as friends requested. Set up the "Man Cave", the Garage. Shuck two sacks of oysters. Grille or Raw, your choice, cook a pot of Gumbo and a smoke Brisket. have many refreshments, beer and Crown, and watch the kids light fireworks while we stay warm by the fire pit. New Years on the Bayou!
Happy Thanksgiving to all and God bless our Troops who can not be home for the Holidays!
The plan with the FTE Antique and Classic Truck Contest for this year (2008) is to conclude entries on the last day of november and run a two-stage voting series that will actually conclude at midnight of December 31, 2008 (MIDNIGHT).
Although it began slowly, there are a large number of very fine examples entered at this time (it has been open for entries almost three months now) and making the final choices is going to be very difficult indeed.
The plan is to announce a winner, and runner ups, at midnight of New Years Eve as recognised in Memphis Tennessee (Central Time)
I felt that for those of us who do not engage in the craziness of being on the road on such a dangerous holiday for driving, it gave us something to look to and be a part of that gave an extra something special to look forward to as the clock counted down on New Years Eve.
A first place prize has already been approved from IBI sources, and for all I know there may be more than one. In any case, look to FTE on New Years Eve for the conclusion of this unique (and in my opinon) very special contest.
