you can install a 6" suspension lift and run the stock driveshafts just fine.

4wheelcustoms.com has great prices on lifts and on the FSB site in the vendor section is a company selling the rough country lifts at discounted prices as well.

This is true. As posted earlier mine has a 6" and I didn't do anything to the drive shafts.

Not to be a nay-sayer here but there is one other thing "wrong" with this setup. Neither lift manufacturer will honor the warranty on the lift or components of the lift anymore. The use of both types on the same vehicle is so risky that the manufacturers won't stand behind their products if they are used together on the same vehicle. Ask any manufacturer before you do this if you doubt my words.

If warranties are for people that worry too much then ask yourself why you aren't worried that the MAKERS of these components won't stand behind their products because the installation of both is so unsafe that they won't be held responsible for the potential damage and loss. Worrying isn't a bad thing when it comes to vehicle safety. The problem is too few people DO worry about it. So we end up with things like people yammering away on their cell phones while they drive, running around at night with a headlight or taillight burned out, and installing an unsafe combination of aftermarket products into their vehicles just to name a few things. (In short if you want to argue the point, come up with a better reason because that one doesn't hold water).

Swapping tires larger than 32's should really include the swapping of axle gearing to at least 4.11:1 ratio for 33's and even taller for larger diameter tires. The formula for calculating the gearing needed for the tires you've selected is listed in the red link in my signature.

there is no arguement because I agree with you

Anytime YOU change a vehicle from factory specs you run the risk of failure

Do you think that lifting a vehicle and putting much larger tires on it is safe
That is why they have lift laws

In Wisconsin it is legal and states it as such to have both body and suspension lifts on same vehicle
If it was unsafe. Why would the state make laws saying differance. LOL

I know your point and do agree with you.

The manufacturers of these kits do not want to be resposible for anything

I am really suprised that any of them actually have warranties

They should have the warranties only active when installed by a "QUALIFIED" and a factory trained shop

How can the manufacturers be responsible for work done by amatuers

We all need to take some responsibilty for our actions

I wouldn't recommened putting on a bodylift
I did it a long time ago 7+ years ago
Learned alot since then
Lifting vehicles for on road uasage is not safe

If I did it again the only lift kit I would put on is the one from AutoFab

1980-1996 Bronco F150 4x4

They redo the IFS arms and use the factory pivot mounts, much safer in my opinion
Get some of those awesome fiberglass front amd rear fenders
fiberglass tailgate and that cool looking front bumper
