OK here it is. I have a dream of a COE van/panel and its all 4tl8ofrd's fault making me look at the 1/25th scale models.
Now you see the delima it is a must build but in a ford. Well now I have some questions. What exactly makes a cab over engine cab different other than possible reliefs in the doors for the wheels? I have a spare 58 cab and plan on doing something interesting if unable to get a real coe. I understand I will also need a panel rear to complete the idea but this is just a dream at this time. Here is another pick I found and gives the general idea. These are hard to find pics of.
This is the general dream it has no direction yet and is just a thought. If possible I would love to get pics loaded on this thread so someone else can take my dream and run with it or assist me with mine. By the way if anyone wants to donate a cab to the cause please let me know through a pm I have no money just limited time. As if anyone has either.
Thanks 4tl8ford you have created a monster if I start this project
1949-50 Ford F-3 and F-5 Parcel Delivery vehicles featured a Vanette-sourced body which incorporated the front-end Ford introduced in 1948.
I have a picture but its in my old computer, http://ozcoetrucks.bravehost.com/Index.a.html
I believe these are the vanette type not exactly what I am looking for but they do help. I kinda like the nose on the pre 57 COE's like the two 48's above the green and orange ones
You have to remember that starting in '57 Ford switched COE cabs to the style that was used unchanged until 1990 so the cab from a '57 COE and newer truck is entirely different the conventional truck cab.
You could go with cab from a stub nose truck, it has basically the same cab as the conventional cab but with higher front sheet metal.
