Looking for some help from the experts. I just turned 18 and I've like Excursions since I was 14 or so, and I'm finally gonna buy one. I'm looking for a cheap one (under $9500). I found one on autotrader for $8990. It's a 2002, V10, 4x4, acident free, 124,xxx miles. Is this a good deal? I have some money saved up and my first car is nice enough to trade in. PLEASE: no one telling me that diesels are better because they have more power or get better fuel mileage, I am aware of this but I want a V10. Thanks, Nick.
It's a dealer. I've done a background check on the dealer, gotten the car-fax, and had an indvidual party inspect the vehicle and everything came out fine. Cant get time off work, so I'm planning on having the vehicles shipped to me (don't worry, have money saved up to cover the cost, lol).

The price posted by most dealers on Autotrader is NOT their lowest price.

What did your individual party check for? Is he/she a mechanic? There are a couple Excursion specific things I'd check like the operation of the hubs, ball joints and door lock actuators.
I had them do a 120 point inspection (I think it was 115+). It was a well-known auto service shop (not just your average, well known), they sent a mechanic over.
