fuel prices maybe--but look around--i'd say cg's stuff is well taken care of-what's out there that compares for under 30k??--mileage is a little high so theres gotta be sum consideration for that
There are only three comparable within a hundred miles of me, and I am the lowest price. Two of them are 04s and still higher money. That is what made me think the price was in line. I am planning to trade it this week one way or another, I just thought I would give it a shot.
I had an 04 Expy up until a month ago... didn't sell so I traded it in. I put it up at a very competitive price 3 months ago. I left the ad up to see what kind of bites I get on it. Still up and NOT A SINGLE BITE. Unreal market.
The Excursion and the asking price is NOT the issue right now.
I am afraid people are going to see where these fuel prices stop before investing in a large SUV like your Excursion. If fuel was a very stable $3.00 a gallon, I would give you $29,500 right now without question. With the strong possibility of diesel going to $6.00 a gallon I would have to pass on what I see as a good deal.
I posted a subject a few months ago asking how many people were going to sell out of their Excursions because of the rising fuel prices. Not one person said they were. But now I see people left and right wanting to sell out. It's so sad this has happened in America.
mine doesn't get driven much--gotta big florida round trip comin up, and i know it will be cheaper to drive-then fly with a family of 5--so i'm holdin onto mine!!!

Exactly... family of 6 here. Camping within 1.5 hours of home is the cheapest vacation going... and we can do it many times a summer.
I purchased my 2005 back in November but can say even with the cost of gas, I'm not sure how I would move a family of 6 around in an minivan with all the stuff we have. Plus driver comfort is way better in an X.
Nice ride ChrisGene. If I was in the market I would consider making the drive from NC to work a deal with you. Your price is a little high now due to gas prices having shot up. But if your willing to wait someone will bite. I paid $27K for mine V10 with 35,000 miles back in November. But yours with a PS would have been great. Every one in this area with a PS and low miles was gone before I could get to the deal to look at it.
You can always lower the price but you can never raise the asking price ! Good luck.

I just told my husband the same thing. It is still cheaper to drive my family of 6 than to fly us somewhere. Now trying to convince him into a travel trailer!!
