For Sale Warning
Apparently, I didn't realize there where rules in this forum regarding posting something for sale or I would not have posted the 'for sale' portion. So, to the person who sent me the warning message, MY BAD!

So widebody had his thread about the stolen truck deleted because he happened to mention that he had the remains of his truck for sale and yet it's OK for others to have items for sale listed in their signature.

Yes, I had *****footing overwritten in a post of mine, even though there is nothing remotely obscene about the term. *****footing means being timid, as in walking cautiously like a cat instead of stepping out boldly in confidence. I guess some people are just overly sensitive. Maybe they should refer to a dictionary.
edited to say: OK, looks like the overwriting is immediate, so it must be software. I guess that's why we see so many people pu**yfooting around their words.

Moderators keep an eye on stuff like your language, and will probably be less lieutenant to those who say rude things.
The sale rules are kinda weird.
Your not suppose to make deals and trades, but you can say things are for sale in a thread. Don't discuss prices and such in threads, do it all private.

I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just saying that there were no rules presented to me when I signed up for this forum, so I simply did not know! I didn't appreciate that my entire post was delete. A warning to edit my post would have been nice. Then if I refuse after a few days, then delete it. No time was given.

I agree that items for sale in the signature should be treated the same. We have a classified section at the top of the page......hmmm, more reading that don't get done
BTW: The foul language is deleted by software like Norton72 said. Try typing a few choice words in your post....it immediately shows up as asterisks * when you hit the 'submit reply' button....and don't refer to your cat a *****....see it worked!!

Some moderators don't really look into things very much.
It probably was one of the administrators. They seem to float though threads seemlessly without looking at the cause of the problem, or talking to the person at all.
The threads are never deleted, they are just moved to a different location you cannot get to.
If cookie, our moderator, had seen it here, I'm sure he would have asked.
The moderators of the Michigan forum know to call me or message me first, else they will not hear the end of it for a week.
On support of whoever did it, they probably have 3000 threads to go though a day, and it gets tiresom after a bit. It's tough work, but they really should pay attention. GLRUFF does a LOT of work on FTE, and always makes sure to check on it first.
