i cant view the images, but it should be very obvious by the engine and interior. plus he cant call it a scam if the title says 1990 and the vin matches. its the buyers responsibility to look at these things before they sign. if it is immaculate 6000 isnt bad for a clean diesel truck, idi or not.

Up for sale is my 1995 Ford F350 4 door crew cab. It has a 5 speed 7.3L Turbo diesel engine. It has power locks and windows. It is a 4X4 which all works perfect. Everything works! Heat, air etc. The body is in prestine condition with NO RUST AT ALL. I noticed maybe 1 or two tiny paint bubbles around the truck, but you honestly wouldnt't even know they were there unless I showed you! It is black, with a blue interior. Original front seats were removed and I installed two large captain chairs that are extremley comfortable. Has the bench seat in the back along with the sliding back window. Interior is also in good shape. The whole truck is excellent! Had brand new fuel tanks installed, fuel lines, fuel filter, glow plugs and wires, block heater and all of which I have records of. Suspension, oil etc. Dana axles. It has newer larger wheels and tires. Everything on this truck has been redone! From top to bottom. The truck has only 125,000 miles! These are baby miles on a diesel. Take a look on Ebay and you will see that trucks like this are on there with excess of 500,000 miles. I inherited this truck from my grandfather about 5 years ago when he passed. He really took care of this thing! The truck is a <st1:State><st1lace>Florida</st1lace></st1:State> truck and has not been driven in the winters. He used it to tow his trailer down to <st1:State><st1lace>florida</st1lace></st1:State> in the winter and back to <st1:State><st1lace>Michigan</st1lace></st1:State> in the summer. It is also equipped with a braking system and tow package! It also has a bedliner with diamond plated edges. There may be a few tiny dents on the truck but I am being hinest nothing really that you will notice. My grandfather was the original owner of the truck. It was rarely driven. He had a llncoln towncar to cruise around in and the truck was strictly for towing his trailer twice a year. This truck really looks good! It definitely catches your eye! I get compliments everywhere I go! The truck is for SALE OR TRADE! Let me know what you offer or what you have! If you have any questions or offers, feel free to e-mail, text, or call....

That stuff pisses me off.
I just sent the guy an email...asking for more pics and price since he has a new ad for it....maybe he will respond and we might have a scammer......That is the bad thing with CL and Autotrader is all the people pulling scams....at least on ebay you feel a little protected

Thats why I posted it also ...

I bought my truck ,sight unseen from an auction ,,,

Based on what they said it was ...

Didn't open the hood ,got in ,turned the key ,,,figureing ,,what ever was wrong with it ,,I could fix ..

But would not expect it to be misrepresented ...

The friggen guy that sold it ,knew what it was

A scammer...A crook ..a bastage ...somanabach....

I agree with the last poster there. The buyer saw the truck before he paid the money. I think he had plenty of opportunity to figure this out before hand. Is there wrong info in the ad. SURE IS but perhaps its a person who has no idea what he is talking about. He knew the front end was a 95 and thought thats what the truck was. Maybe the front end was on before he got the truck. I think he should take the $1K and deal with what he has. He still has a decent truck for $5K.

Edit: if the truck was bought sight unseen like Rick did then thats a different story.

I agree to an extent.....the seller has had the truck for 5 years....between insuring and registering it I am sure he knows the year(plus buying parts for it since no PSD in 95)......It is bad on both parts IMO......Buyer should have researched(alot of info on the web I hear).....but the seller sounds like one of those guys you want to just dot 'em one

Yes I agree. The seller is a scum bag and the buyer allowed himself to be taken. I feel bad for the buyer but I don't think he is blameless

that is true of some.....I was on this forum and others for a couple months reading what to look out for and look forward to before I bought mine....everything from MPG threads to "why my door speakers are not working"
I am also doing the same for the wifes new car if she ever makes up her damn mind....I am now an avid reader on some VW TDI forums and Mazda3 forums......but maybe its just me to go through that(well we have Tayln too)

That stuff pisses me off too, but as was stated earlier... I've never had a diesel before and still don't know a whole lot about them. But, I did months of research on trucks -- much of it on here -- before I bought mine last month. One look under the hood would have told me it was not a PSD.

And he even stated that he noticed it didn't have a turbo but let it go. Why would he do that? Nice looking truck though.

It's not like me to be so dumb, and I've never been scammed before. Looking back I have no idea how I was so stupid. I must have had my head firmly planted in my ***.

Having said that, yes, I did look under the hood. I noticed there was no turbo but I was ok with that. I failed to check the oil. At the time I had no idea this was not a 1995 as obviously I'm not that familiar with truck specs/year, interior, what to look for, etc.

Next time I buy a truck I will be very skeptical about everything and really do my homework.
