A/C noise

I have a 2008 F150 and when I have the a/c on there is a hissing noise coming from the vents it sounds like. Is this normal? Does it need to be fixed?

This started to happen to my 07 a few months back. I have been too busy to take it in the ford dealer. I think I will make an appointment here soon and keep you posted.

Could be refrigerant moving through the expansion valve in the AC system. This is normal. Mine does make the "hissing" noise intermittently.

a/c noise

i would be very interested in what you find out also. I have a 2008 and mine just started this noise recently. Everything seems to be working correctly, but the noise is somewhat irratating.
