ok when i go mudn and there is any water in hole i will hit it then it will cut out and not run above idle no matter how much gas u give it
it runs of a couple cyl. how can i fix this and what it is
water is getn sumwhere but im not sure were or what to check first

 

Try a put some dilectric grease on all of the spark plug connectors at the coil and cap too!

 

do u just get this at a autoparts store?
because my 87 even tho it was a 2 wheel drive i could drive thru water around the motor it never did this so im wonderin whats up with this new one

 

if you get water splashed in the air intake snorkel, it will do this, how hard are you hitting this puddle?

 

YEP any auto parts store on the grease.This is the hard part trying to figure if its electrical or water getting into the intake. Remove the distributor cap and blow out the water worth a try.

 

nothing over 15-20 just a 2nd gear roll and hit it when i hit the hole
im not sure what it is ill nail the gas it will just bang bang then the loudest pow i have ever heard

 

Only when you hit a water hole it acts up correct?

 

yeah and i opened the hood today because iw as waitn on a friend anyways ani was mad the distributor didnt look like soaked the wires into themotor did not this was at about 130 shud i go out n check if water gets in air intake then the filter n stuff would be wet am i correct?

 

YEP Look for water past the filter you have an air correct?

 

yeah im going outside right now to take filter out and check for it if its dry is it the wires needing the diaelectric grease?
