I found a map - it looks like the fire's been kept away from the park so far:

Channel 2/9 reported around 6:30PM last night, that a section of Featherly Park burned.

Fire

That wasn't my picture. It was posted by Randy (mybroken Jeep) on MJR web site. He just made it through before they closed the 91 FWY.

This is a hunting buddy of mine helping fight the fires in his neighborhood. Thank God his own family and house are safe so far. But it was too close!

Fires suck, I lived in Banning before moving up to Washington. Every year Cabazon burned and San Jacinto mountains, Idylwild or San Berdo was always burning.

wife was a reporter for the press enterprise for 10 years and was the crime reporter, she got every crappy death and fire/police deal there was.

The stories she had to cover just sucked. stay safe everyone!

That would be horrible to have your home go up like that.

We're all choked up with smoke in Diamond Bar, but we didn't have to evacuate. We had our bags packed and were ready to go.

Looks like they got it hammered down last night, at least near my area. The fire fighters made a heck of a stand at Tonner Canyon and I appreciate that very much!!

I hope all of you, your family and friends are safe.

Hey, Russ, happy to hear you all are okay. We were thinking of you and praying it would miss your home.

Thanks Bill.

On our way back from Paso Robles early Sunday AM we passed that mobile home park in Sylmar. There's just nothing left of those homes.

I really cannot imagine having everything I own destroyed like that. It's made me realize how unprepared I am for an emergency evacuation.
