Hi all. I'm new here so i'll just jump right in and get to it...
I have a '94 F-150 ext/cab with the Mark III conv and the 351 engine.
I have 15x8 rims on it now with 275/16/15 tires. These tires look incredibly to small for this truck... I just had heavy duty springs put on the front. I want to put on either 31x12.50x15 or 33x12.50x15..
Will either of these fit without a lift?
If not, how about the 33/11.5/15's or even the 31/11.5/15's??
I heard the ifs on fords limit the size as well as the body....
Thanks for the help...

you say you put heavy duty springs on it, so does it sit level now? a 31x12.5 is hard to find , only a 33x12.5 or 35 and up. they also dont make a 33x11.5 for a 15 inch rim. you can fit 32x11.5x15 but they will look stuffed. i would go with 31x10.5 on that 8 inch rim it should look good.
Depends on if you have a 4x4 or 4x2. A 4x2 won't take anything but a 31/10.5/15 inch tire unless those springs lifted it 2". If it did, you can fit 32/11.5/15s on there. There are 33/11.5/15s but I think it's only a super swamper or similar. If you have a 4x4, you can fit 32" tires easy. 33's won't fit well at all. Look at my gallery for a pic of 32" tires on a stock 4x4.
Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust, Sunroof, Clear corners w/ Diamond headlights, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds .
Check out my Gallery for a look-see.
Then theres:
99' Mustang GT 4.6L
88' F-250 Heavyduty 4x4 351/c6
95' Mercury Cougar 4.6L V-8
80' E-350 300/6 with a
3 spd column shifter. Weighs around 7,000lbs w. 65mph top speed, who wants to race me!
Ive been told that 31/12.50/15's or (325/60/15/s) would fit with a possible slight rub on tight turns only....
Ive also been told that 33's WOULD fit......
Theres alot of room in my wheel wells, or atleast it sure looks like there is.
Its a 4x2. The heavy duty springs didnt raise it much more than leveling it a touch.
The 31/10.5/15's just look to small for what I want. My 275/60/15's are wider than that. I need a width of ATLEAST 10.8 and a height of atleast 31. I can get 10.5 rims if that would help, but I dont think that would help in making the tires fit under the truck any better, would they?
I almost got the fabtech 4" peformance lift, but money was tight and I needed new springs.... So hence my lame decision of getting the springs that I did....
Thanks again.....
You can't fit 33/12.5s/15 in a 4x2 stock truck. You couldn't in a stock 4x4. 32/11.5/15 won't fit on your 4x2 unless you lift it 2"s over stock. You're only option is 31/10.5/15s or a close metric equivilant (not good or know much about the metric sizes out there).

A 4x4 is two inchs higher than a 4x2, so look at how 32's fit on my truck, it's pretty tight.

Bare with me please. One more question on this. As "duh" as this may sound, will going to 10.5 rims with the 31/10.5's/15 instead of my 15x8's give me a noticable wider tire?
Do you think that the 31x10.5x15's would be worth it? (meaning dollar for dollar would it be a big improvement appearance wise over my tires that i'm running now? (275/60/15's)....
I dont wanna spend the money and the time going with tires that I might end up not being happy with...
Thanks again....

you can only go with a 15x10 inch rim with a 11.5 or wider tire. yes it does give the tire a wider appearance because the rim pulls the side wall out. a 15x8 with a certain kind of offset will stick that 10.5 out.
My truck is the 4x2 model....
I'm a little concerned with the ground effects (conversion package) and how they will look with big tires....
I have thought about the mud terrain as you suggested... They are bigger and tougher looking than the AT's.....
Man, I hope not.. Ive decided on the 32/11.5/15's from BF.G or Pro-comp. 3 for the $of 4 is hard to beat... I was gonna have tire kingdom put them on tommorow but ive opted for 4 wheel parts and acs incase they run into probs. That way they have the parts in stock should they run into clearance probs...
my buddy runs 32x11.50's on his 89 f-150 2wd just fine with no lift, he has some 15x8 wheels
i ran 33x12.50 dunlops on my first truck (93 f-150 4x4) with stock wheels and only rubbing on the radius arms
