if my pyro reads ~600 on the highway, is that pre or post?

if my pyro reads ~600 on the highway, is that pre or post?

the gauges came with the truck, but I will be replacing them, so I need to figure out which pyro to get :P

I dont have gauges but if I were you I would crawl under and look around near the manifold (pre turbo) and if you dont see it chances are its post.

thats pre turbo. depending on the truck speed and load. sounds normal for a stock truck.and you want to have pre turbo egt probe...

When you decide to snoop around, look for the probe on the driver's side exhaust manifold or up pipe to the turbo. That will be the most likely place to put the probe preturbo.

if it's post turbo it should be in DP right at turbo in plain sight

I run about 600 running down a flat highway at 65.

thats what i run doin about 65, sounds pre-turbo to me.

Looking at mine this morning, it was pretty steady at 550 at 70 MPH. Boost was at 4psi. When I left the house, it was about 52*.

You should see something like this in your manifold or up-pipe (mine is in the up-pipe, as you can see):

600* is pretty much normal. It depends on ambient temp also. Cooler air going in, cooler temps going out.
