I have replaced my IAC valve for the second time due to the stalling issue at low idle on my V10. The autozone replacement lasted 3 years....out of warranty of course! Has anyone had luck cleaning and reusing the IAC? The one I just replaced was dirty inside (dark or black dust). Is that a due to a bad air filter or normal condition??? I kept it in hopes it could be cleaned. THANKS JOHN

Yes you can try to clean the IAC, use carb cleaner. The black soot it carbon buildup from the fuel vapors and oxygen mixing.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll clean my old part and keep it on the shelf ready to go for the next time. At least I'm getting good at changing that part. Seems like a common problem. JOHN
