66 Clutch Question

I recently acquired a 66 F100 with a 302 & an automatic. I'd like to swap out the automatic for a 4 speed since it was a factory stick. I need to find an entire clutch pedal assembly. Does anyone know if any other years are the same as 66 so I can start my search? Any help would be much appreciated.

65-66 2wd truckswill work. Also sense your truck would not of come with a 302, would of been a 352 if it had a v8, so the linkage maybe something differant

Thanks. Not sure what it had originally, I need to get it decoded. It has a 1970 302 now with the FMX transmission.

Welcome to FTE

Engine/trans swapped.

First year for the 302: Passenger cars: Spring of 1968 / F100's, Bronco's and Econolines: 1969 model year.

Uh...It doesn't have that trans, as the FMX was never used behind a 302 of any year, car or truck.

It's a C4 = 11 trans pan bolt holes.

If the trans pan has 14 bolt holes, it is an FMX, but the engine will (prolly) be a 351W (introduced in cars 1969), it might even be a 351C (introduced in cars 1970).

351W/351C's used C4's, FMX's, C6's.

302/351W = 6 valve cover bolts / 351C = 8 valve cover bolts.

No 351W's were installed in F Series trucks and Bronco's till 1981. 351C = 1970/74 passenger cars only.

Post the TRANS code, found on the Warranty Plate, located on the left door face below the latch.

The VIN's 4th digit is the engine code. 1966: A = 240 I-6 / B = 300 I-6 / Y = 352 2V.

I'll check it all out and get back to you. I was just going by what he seller told me about the transmission.

The selling point on this one was rust free straight sheetmetal from NC. It's tough finding that here in PA.

No rust here in LA LA Land, either.

If you wish, post all the codes found on the Warranty Plate.

It can all be decoded right here by several of us.

You will then know what the original configuration was, and a bunch of other info related to the:

COLOR / AXLE / BODY-Interior color, type of material / Where the truck was assembled / City it was ordered from / Other info.

Ha, that's what I did. I imported one from NC!
There are NONE of these trucks left here unless they are filled with Bondo.

Here's the info. on the warranty plate.

VIN: F10AE862461

Warranty Plate Info:

115 WM F100 B81 C 09

05000 129 4000 25

The trans does have 14 bolts on the pan. There are 6 bolts on the valve covers and in the pile of receipts the previous owner gave me there is a receipt from Jasper Engines from 2001 for a 1970-74 302 engine.
