Ok, I just got back from running it with my Innovative tune. The way this tune worked without the boost builder was it has a converter lockup on acceleration and it would lockup with about 21psi and then on the floor would run 26-27psi out of it in every gear. With the boost builder in the truck it now goes to 31psi well before the converter locks up and holds steady at 31psi all the way to the floor. It also helps with the driveability of this tune, this tune is the smoothest hot tune I've ever run in my truck and its actually smoother with this installed. 69cj, I'll turn the truck back to stock tonight and take it for a spin like that also and get back to everyone.
Thank you very much for all the info, and testing it out
i have one on my truck and have seen the same results as dustball. faster spool, really helps with the lag and holds the boost at wot. took ten minutes to hook up. i run mine with my innovative race tunes and it runs really good. well worth the investment.
I am wondering if you had to tap into the ECM wire harness?
negative!!!!!! it plugs directly inline with the map sensor. here is the description of it directly from the site!
Get more performance out of your electronically controlled Powerstroke engine by plugging in one of BDs Electronic Boost Builders inline with the MAP sensor. When the turbo produces a huge volume of boost pressure, the ECM typically sets a trouble code reducing the fueling and the power by 50-80 HP. The Electronic Boost Builder prevents the ECM from seeing the excess boost allowing for turbo to produce the air flow that is being demanded. A prefect match for engines with electronic, injector or turbo enhancements.
OK, that site is right on the edge of raunchy... Just a bunch of non-family oriented stuff. I even had to create an account to see the content the links pointed to. Yikes!
Hey dustball still like it any problems? Does it eliminate 6.0L turbo lag on initial acceleration?? My G/F bought one for me i was looking at it and prob. gonna install tomorrow or Sat. will let you all know how i like it. But please let me know if you still like it dustball and any pics of install would be appreciated. Thanx.

well the advice there on this subject is good and I would take it. The gogo site is very straight forward..if you're looking to do something right and want a no nonsense and no bs answer...you're gonna get it there.
Still no problems with it, It doesn't completely eliminate the bottom end lag but it helps out with it a lot. I already have it wired in and didn't take any pics of the install as it only took about 10 minutes to put in. Its pretty straight forward as it only plugs into the map sensor and the yellow wire runs across the cowl area and over to the computer by the battery. It really helps with towing also as it will hit 31psi if I need it too well before half throttle and once the converter locks up it pulls really hard and smooth also.
sorry for the late post. I got mine installed i see a little difference. i still have bottomend turbo lag and as well as the lag i also have a problem on top end. meaning when floor the truck and and let off the truck doenst stop mooving it takes aobut 2seconds for the truck to strat slowing down it seems like i am still giving it gas for the 2 seconds after i let off the pedal. i also have notice that the boost spikes. anotherwords crusing on the hight way then giving it a little throttle the stock boost gauge and my dashhawk boost number goes from 8 to 24 it doesnt gradually go to 24. or from 14 to 20 sometimes. it doesnt go 14 15 16.....20 it spikes. Does anyone else have these symptoms???
I guess since this is my thread I can reply to that lol. I'm not seeing the problem you are with letting off the throttle and it still keeps pulling for a couple seconds, when I lift my foot my truck starts slowing down right away. As far as the boost spike, mine does it also i can roll around at 6-10 with normal driving but if I goose it to a little before half throttle I can get up in the high 20s with no hesitation. Itll also hit 31psi on my hot tune well before the converter locks up and then hold it the entire time its locked.
