1987 F250HD 5.8L 4x4. Brake master cylinder needed to be replaced along with booster. Brake lines frozen in integral proportioning valve and another valve on the frame I think the distribution block.
Question is where can I get a new one since the brake line end is still stuck in both? I checked out websites and no one has one on the sites and Haynes really makes no mention of it in the repair manual.
If it helps the block on the frame is the RABS valve body. One line in and one out. A lot of guys just bypass it as the RABS, even if working, is not much good anyway.
i saw that one i think this block was before it as there were two lines, both from the master cylinder, coming into it but i am prob wrong and it is the RABS sensor. However, i still need to get the proportioning valves that are on the brake line so that the line can fit into the master cylinder. I already went to inline tubes and they have the hard brake lines no proportioning valve, same for lmc and year one.
Your `87 must be different from mine. The Rear Anti-lock Brake System valve body on mine is on the inside of the left frame rail about level with the drivers feet. The line from the master cylinder rear circuit runs to it and then out of it to the rear brakes. For your parts have you tried ftepartsguy.com or directfordparts.com for original Ford parts?
